Life Story

Dale A. Davis was born to Sheila Riley and Dale Smith in Milford, Delaware on May 29, 1980.  Dale departed this life on Monday, October 10, 2022.

Dale graduated from Cape Henlopen High School, Class of 1998.  He was an avid basketball player. Dale was last employed by Microtel in hospitality.

Many remembered Dale by his giving heart and bright smile.  He was affectionately called "Smoke" by his family and friends.  He was known as a jokester.  Dale had a saying “Talk to me nicely or don’t talk to me at all,” and, “If you ain't got no haters, you ain't poppin.” He always called everyone "You's a goofy."  His favorite football team was the Washington Commanders, formerly known as the Washington Redskins.

Dale loved spending time with his family, especially his son, Cayden, his cousins, and his Crooked Road family. Dale loved helping people, and he would always look out for the children.

Dale is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Davis, and his aunt, Gina Smith.
