Life Story

Javon Amir Savage was born July 7, 1994 in Seaford, DE to Jarvis Savage and Christine Blades.

Javon, affectionately known as “Booter," came to live with his father and grandmother when he was two months old. He attended school in the Caesar Rodney School district where he participated in many extracurricular activities. Javon was an avid motorsports bike rider and he loved playing basketball and baseball. As a youth, Javon earned lots of recognition in various sporting events. He wasn’t afraid to try anything.

As a youngster, Javon spent a lot of time at his dad’s barbershop. Everybody loved him. He would spend his summers in the shop right under his dad. He could be found running errands, cleaning the shop, and keeping all the customers entertained.

At the time of his death, Javon was employed at Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Millsboro, DE where his co-workers described him as hardworking and very respectful. Javon also worked for Taco Bell and loved working side jobs doing landscaping and small home improvement projects. He could often be found helping out family and friends with landscaping projects.

Javon loved family, he often called and checked on us to see how we were doing and ended every call with “I love you.” He never hesitated to show love. He had a beautiful smile that would light up a room.

Javon leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Jarvis Savage of Dover, DE, his mother, Christine Blades of Millsboro, Delaware; grandparents, Alberdean and Emmet Bell and Anthony Savage all of Dover, Delaware; siblings, Shyquan Russell of Dover, Delaware, J’ Niah Davis of Salisbury, Maryland; Dejanna Dale, Devon Nelson, Darren Nelson, and Keith Blades all of Millsboro, Delaware; four aunts, Charmaine Sampson (Chris) of Harrington, Delaware, Rashonda Savage and Tynisha Johnson (Phillip) both of Dover, Delaware, and LaKeisha Smith (Brandon) of Chicago, Illinois; one uncle, Tyrone Hurst of Elkton, Maryland; and his beloved nephew, Davon “DJ” Sheppard.

Javon was also loved by his many great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.

Lovingly Submitted,

The Savage Family
