Nathan, affectionately known as “Nate”, was born June 3, 1968 to the late Mack Ben Kinsey and the late Lillie Pearl Kinsey, in Alamance County North Carolina. God in his infinite wisdom called our dearly beloved to his new home in Glory, on Wednesday August 24, 2022.
Nathan received his early education in Pennsylvania school district in West Philadelphia, and later relocating to Dover, Delaware completing his education and graduating from Dover High School in 1987. Nathan, later decided to return to his hometown in Durham, North Carolina, continuing his education in the medical field as a Medical Coder Specialist, and he also earned his Associates Degree in Behavioral Science in 2019 at Duke University. He also worked as a supervisor of a Group home for the Mentally Challenged. Nate later served as a Customer Service Representative for Del One Federal Credit Union, Dover, Delaware for two years until his passing.

Nathan accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Deliverance Evangelistic Church under the leadership of Pastor Benjamin and Lady Essie Salters. Nate continued his ministry in music as an organist and choir director at Jesus is Lord Church of Deliverance in Georgetown, DE under the Leadership of his cousin, Pastor Bonnie and Elder Elvis (Daddy) Bigelow.
Nathan later returned to Durham, North Carolina to continue his spiritual walk and service under the Leadership of the Late Pastor Shirley M. Sudler. Nathan was ordained as a Prophet, later being elevated to the position of Assistant Pastor, and then transitioning into the position of Pastor of Church of Deliverance for 9 years.
Nathan met and then later married the love of his life, Keiyana on June 19, 2020, whom he loved to call “Wife”. Nate became a loving husband, father, and grandfather to their three children and two grandsons, Nylan and Nasai, who in Pop Pops eyes could do no wrong, as well as Mahoghany who as his baby girl was always innocent.
Nathan was the youngest of three. He loved music and playing the organ. One of his favorite songs was “He won’t fail” by Ricky Dillard. Nate loved to praise the Lord regardless of how he felt or whatever the situation. He loved the Lord! Nate loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved the laughs, the food, and he loved having fun. He developed a love for shopping, and he also loved to cook. His favorite food to eat was turkey wings. Nate was a bit competitive as he loved to have cook offs with his wife in the kitchen.
In addition to his parents, Mack Ben and Lillie Pearl Kinsey, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mable Anthony, and Rev. Lucious Anthony. Grandfather Kinsey and Mayzina Kinsey, and spiritual mother Pastor Shirley Sudler.
Nathan leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Keiyana Kinsey of two years, two daughters, Trinity Turner and Mahoghany Kearse, one son, Josiah Turner of Dover DE; two grandsons, Nasai and Nylan Anderson of Dover, DE, a spiritual father, Arnold Sudler of Clayton DE, six brothers, Mack Kinsey Jr. of North Carolina, Barry Kinsey (Jeanie) of Claymont DE, Gerard of Dover DE, Glumex (Jennifer) of Dover DE, Cherron of North Carolina, Tridale (Gale) of Dover DE; four sisters, Annie (L) of North Carolina, Tenish of Dover DE, Ranae’ of Felton DE, Shavelle of Dover DE, mother-in-law, Mary Ashley-Butler(Ferman) of Dover DE, two sisters-in-law, Na’Kisha Mayo (Kenny) of Suffolk VA, Yalonda Kerneal (DeMartrice) of Camden Wyoming DE, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He also leaves to cherish two special people dear to him, his cousin, Apostle Bonnie Bigelow with whom he was raised, and she was also a Spiritual Mother to him, and his brother that he spent a lot of time with through his life, Glumex Gregory.
Nathan will be missed by all the lives that he so greatly touched!
